Good questions.

How quickly can I book?
We aim to confirm same-day or next-day bookings during the move-out season. For May 1 weekend, book as early as possible — it's the busiest window and slots fill fast. You'll get a confirmation text/email within a few hours of submitting your request.
What exactly is included in the price?
The driver, their pickup truck or cargo van, and one helper who will load and unload with you. There are no mileage fees, parking fees, or per-flight-of-stairs upcharges within our standard terms. The price you see is what you pay — unless your job is materially different from what you described.
Can I trust the person coming into my dorm/apartment?
Every Haulo driver is manually verified: ID check, government-issued driver's license, vehicle registration, and active auto insurance. We also review each provider before they're allowed to take any jobs. We don't use auto-accept. You'll get the driver's name, photo, and vehicle details before they arrive.
What if they no-show or are late?
We monitor active jobs. If your driver is running late, we'll let you know. If they no-show, we'll attempt to rematch you immediately or give you a full refund. You won't be left stranded on move-out day.
What happens if something gets damaged?
Damage claims must be reported within 24 hours with photos. We review every claim and can issue reimbursement for direct physical damage caused during the job, up to the per-job cap in our policy. We require pre/post photos on every haul to make this process fast and fair.
What items can't you haul?
We can't take hazardous materials, firearms, cash, jewelry, live animals, very large specialty items (pianos, gun safes, hot tubs), or trash/junk-disposal loads. If you're unsure, describe your items in the booking form and we'll confirm.
What areas do you cover?
We're currently focused on the Ann Arbor campus core — Central Campus, near-campus apartments, and nearby neighborhoods. Describe your pickup/drop-off in the booking form and we'll confirm it's in our service area.
Can my parent book and pay on my behalf?
Absolutely. Lots of parents book remotely for their kids. Just fill in the booking form with the student's address and contact info, and pay with your card. We'll send a receipt to both of you.
